My post-carbon approach applied to the territory of Annecy starts from two ideas: urban densification and food in the city. It concerns a research program of the «Habitat of the Future» Chair on economic and eco-responsible housing, in particular the role of urban agriculture in circular economy schemes and the resulting urban landscape. 

Land speculation is important here. This is due to the strong attractiveness of the lake, Switzerland and employment. The need for housing is present. In a world where the population is increasing, where we are increasingly living in cities and having less and less cultivable land, the issue of urban agriculture is at the heart of my societal problems. The end-of-study project combines a program of new housing with greenhouse crops, creating an island with a strong identity to live in the heart of a vegetable production, in a neighborhood environment. With the aim of having an economically viable project that adapts to future climate change and respects the comfort of everyone in its living space, the idea is to propose a new way of living in its home, An edible landscape.

Ma démarche Post-carbone appliquée au territoire d’Annecy part de deux idées : la densification urbaine et l’alimentation dans la ville. Elle concerne un programme de recherche de la chaire «Habitat du futur» sur l’habitat économique et éco responsable, notamment la place de l’agriculture urbaine dans des dispositifs d’économie circulaire et le paysage urbain qui en découle.  

La spéculation foncière y est importante. C’est du à la forte attractivité du lac, de la Suisse, de l’emploi. Le besoin de logements est présent. Dans un monde où la population augmente, où nous allons de plus en plus vivre en ville et avoir de moins en moins de terre cultivable, la question de l’agriculture urbaine est au cœur de ma problématique de société. Le projet de fin d’étude allie un programme de logements neufs avec des cultures en serre verticale, créant ainsi un îlot avec une identité forte d’habiter au cœur d’une production maraîchère, dans une ambiance de quartier. Dans un objectif d’avoir un projet économiquement viable, qui s’adapte aux futurs changements climatiques, et respectant le confort de chacun dans son espace de vie, l’idée est de proposer une nouvelle manière d’habiter son logement au cœur d’un paysage comestible.
